Please contact me: 113 Midwood Road, Travelers Rest, SC 828.279.4616 drunknamederic@yahoo.com Would love to correspond or talk to anyone from the hospital.  Thru the years I have talked with Dr Bob Christianson and his wife Jan who worked in the education dept. Where I got my hs equiv in 62.  I have also talked with John Kennedy I think he worked for Capt ryan in personell.  I have lost contact with both of them.  Bob was in Calif.  John was in New Mexico.  He was writing cheap porn novels under a pen name.  that was in 1967.  Also I spent time with david rhodey  who was the mail clerk after John Garlinghouse.  Late 1962.

He committed suicide in about1970.  Capt. Ryan died also in the late 60's  this is all I remember  There was an E-4 named Fox.  aHe was an Engineer.  Was a lifer but was always in a mess.  Made hooch in the Engineer building.

I could not remember Charley's last name. Junior Grover gave it to me and wrote me Charley Barber had gone to Vietnam after serving with the 34th. I did a search at the Washington Vietnam Memorial for Charley Barber and my heart skipped a beat when I realized Charley Barber's name was not there. Does anyone know what happened to Charley Barber?

Also I remember Chief, Allen and the Spears, the supply driver. I had to guard him one night for going AWOL. The only time at the Hospital I had a .45 issued to me for duty. I think his name was Spears. We went to the movies to kill time.

I also remember the Colonel's driver. He was the one who drove to the Caserne to pick up the Colonel's mail each day. I think the driver was Tibor's best friend. Tibor was a Hungarian gypsy who some how joined the U.S. Army. One day in downtown Tucson I was walking by a Walgreens Drug store when I saw him drinking coffee inside. How a crazy gypsy came to be in downtown Tucson was hard to believe but there he was as big as life. I worked for the City of Tucson and Tibor was the Walgreen's manager. What a crazy world. Tibor borrowed $90 from me and I never got it back. My mom always told me never loan money to a gypsy. Not really. In Arizona, I never knew what a gypsy was until I went to Europe and met Tibor.

I think there was Fred Lowe. I remember he dated a WAC I think from Puerto Rico. She had a friend who I dated but I can not remember her name. I can see her face and that strut as she walked but not the name. Her best friend was named Peggy. I can not remember her last name either but I dated her as well.
